Although we answer several lines on our main telephone system they are very busy first thing in the morning. Calls are held in a stacking system and are answered in the order they are received. If you can leave non-urgent calls until later in the morning we should be able to deal with them more quickly.

Mondays are our busiest days. If your requirement is routine and non-urgent try telephoning on another day. We will be able to respond to your needs more quickly.

You may also sign up to use the online appointment booking service provided by EMIS.  Once you have informed the practice you are interested in using this facility, we will send you a letter together with instructions on how to complete the registration process.

Urgent appointments can be made for the same day but may not be with the doctor of your choice.

If you feel the matter cannot wait until the next available routine appointment with your own doctor, it would be helpful if you can give reception a brief idea of the problem and they will tell you when to come to the surgery.

The practice encourages patients to phone for advice when a face-to-face appointment is not necessary. If you wish to speak to a doctor please telephone reception before 12:00 midday and book a telephone consultation. The doctor will return your call at the end of surgery.

Home visits are for patients who are too ill or infirm to come to the surgery. If you need the doctor to visit you at home please telephone the Surgery on 01458 833666 before 10:00am and give the receptionist as much information as you can to help the doctor assess the urgency of your request.

If, in the case of emergency you phone out of hours a recorded message will explain how to access help or advice.

If you need to be seen you will be asked to go to the primary care centre based at West Mendip Hospital or, if you are too unwell to attend you will be visited at home.

The Surgery is open from 8:00 am - 7:30 pm Monday to Wednesday, 8:00 am - 6:00pm Thursday and Friday, and is closed on Saturdays.

The telephone is manned by a member of staff from 8.00am until 6:00pm on weekdays, and the lines are closed on saturdays.
