We practice from a modern, purpose-built surgery in the heart of this historic and interesting town and our practice area covers a wide range of glorious Somerset countryside.
Our patients come from both the town and rural communities and the experience you will gain will be invaluable, wherever you practise in the future.
You will receive dynamic training from the enthusiastic trainers and other doctors within the Practice.
You will receive two tutorials weekly, one from the Principal Trainer (either Dr Strawford, Dr Corfield or Dr Hughes) and one from another of the doctors in rotation, alongside regular joint surgeries, with the emphasis being on Registrar centred teaching, using an educational plan specifically drawn up in conjunction with the Registrar at the start of your period of training.
You will have plenty of time for free study but also plenty of support to get you through the summative assessment and MRCGP examinations. In addition Registrars attend the half-day vocational training scheme either in Taunton or Yeovil. |
