Our Nurse Practitioners are qualified to fully assess, diagnose, treat or refer patients who attend the surgery for same day appointments, in addition to being able to perform usual practice nurse duties.

Jo Taylor

Advanced Diploma in Adult Nursing (Southampton University 2001), BSc (hons) Advanced Nurse Practitioner and an independent and supplementary prescriber.

Nurses

Our Nurses are responsible for the management of chronic disease clinics throughout the week.  They also run general nursing clinics which include warfarin monitoring, cervical screening, childhood immunisation clinics, travel advice, and a number of other nursing care responsibilities.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
